home, and so we have made our doggie day care as close to home in love and

WHAT TO EXPECT AT DOG DAY CARE
The Do RIght Inn
takes great pride in acclimating new dogs to the dog day care experience as
gently as possible. But, even with the best of intentions, and the most loving
of supervision, dogs can and do have little accidents.
As your dog begins to let loose, and get
into the groove of dog day care at the Do Right Inn, he may begin to test his
physical limits, this is normal. Some of the changes that you may see in your
dog are:
He may come home very dirty, dusty or muddy.
He may come home damp or wet.
He may come home very thirsty.
He may not want to eat dinner.
Your dog may smell funny. On occasion we take dogs
to the lake or forest preserves, and on occasion, especially in the Spring and
Summer, Mother Nature can be just a bit "funky".
He may want to cuddle with you more than usual.
He may have sore paws or lick his feet or
joints.
He may seem stiff or sore the morning after dog day
care. Remember most dogs are not moving for 6-8 hours a day. In many ways dogs
are like us. If they are not used to exercise, they may experience strain in
their muscles and joints until they develop more stamina.
Your dog may have nicks, cuts, scrapes, scratches,
dings,missing hair, bald spots on your dog's head, feet or torso. This is
normal. Dogs play with their teeth, mouths and paws. It is perfectly
normal for dogs, like toddlers to come home with several "boo-boos".
We do not take dogs to the vet for minor 'boo-boos"
and we will not reimburse you for your vet fees if you decide to take your dog
to the vet for a normal dog "boo-boos". These little scratches and scrapes are
normal when dogs play together in a natural pack setting.
We use all necessary precautions to ensure that
accidents are rare, but in the unusual event that your dog is involved in an
incident to another person, dog or property while in our care or on our
property, the legal liability and responsibility for damages and restitution,
is yours, the dog's owner.
We keep an eye on your dogs poop to make sure that
it is healthy. You are responsible for making sure that your dog has been
checked out by the vet for worms, parasites, protozoa or other intestinal
problems.
If your dog is sick: runny nose, coughing,
lethargic, anorexic or just not acting right, please do not bring him to day
care until your dog is feeling better, keep him at home.
If you bring a dog that is obviously ill to day
care, he will be crated in isolation until you arrive. After any contagious
illness, your dog must have a note of good health from the vet to resume dog
day care service.
