About BECU

BECU is headquartered in Washington State. The credit union was founded in 1935 for employees of The Boeing Co. At the time, new employees had to purchase their own tools, but this was a challenge for many as the country was in the midst of the Great Depression. A group of employees founded the credit union to give loans to workers so that they could buy the tools they needed.

BECU offers checking, savings and CD accounts, credit and debit cards, personal and auto loans, as well as mortgages and home equity loans. Business banking services are also available. Credit union members benefit from online banking and a mobile app and can send and receive money using Zelle.
