Cruft is back with its annual dog show and it’s another season where the best of the dog breed shines in all its glory. Since its inception in the early 1890s, the Kennel Club has maintained it as the largest dog show, with over 20,000 dogs registered annually. This year we’re expecting no less, but a huge increase in wannabe Cruft champions to take part.

Crufts start time:
More than 20,000 dogs will take part in exhibitions and competitions. Crufts begins Thursday March 10th, 2022. This will be the first show since 2020 as the pandemic put an end to the fun in 2021.
Which dogs are participating in Crufts 2022?
Over 200 purebred dog breeds will compete for the title of Best in Show. Compared to 2020, the number of Irish Water Spaniel, Sloughi, Lowchen and Canadian Eskimo dog breeds competing has increased by 40 percent or more this year.

- work – Bernese Mountain Dog (140)
- usefulness – Dalmatians (202)
- toy – Pug (223)
- Pastoral – Border Collie (253)
- terrier – Staffordshire Bull Terrier (306)
- Rush – whippet (382)
- Gundog – Golden Retrievers (458)
Crufts results will be announced on March 13, 2022.
Judge:
In all, over 30 judges will be present at the 2022 Crufts dog show. As per the rules of the show, the judges evaluate each dog breed and decide which has performed the best according to the standards.

Tickets for the Crufts Dog Show are sold to anyone wishing to attend the event and also to Kennel Club members online.
It is important to note that Kennel Club members must enter their valid code if they wish to gain access to the 2022 Crufts Club Members Dog Show Ticket Award.
As before, ticket price information must be available online on the organization’s website. Day ticket prices may vary. However, there may be promotional codes that could give you some desired discounts.
