Dozens of guests insist on riding the iconic attraction despite breakdowns

However, not everything can always be magical. Sometimes rides and attractions break down, requiring guests to wait, either in line or on board the attractions, and in some cases even having to be evacuated from the ride they are on. It seems that rides at Disney parks are becoming more and more canceled, or at least guests seem to be sharing their experiences more often than before.

While many turn away the moment an attraction goes down and skip the line and look for another attraction to board at, some guests are simply determined to experience the rides.

Such was the case with Redditor u/RipCityRevival, who recently posted an image of It’s a Small World and said there were a dozen guests, including himself, who were determined to ride this Disneyland classic, despite the problems who had the attraction.

You can see the photo of the original poster below:

The original poster added in a comment that he also experienced a 10-minute stop the previous day while riding Pinocchio’s Daring Journey and that he had been evacuated from the attraction afterwards, leading other Redditors to wonder what was inside Disneyland is going on, which could be causing these disruption lows happen so often.

Ironically, it was u/RipCityRevival, the original poster, who explained the situation in these words:

From what I’ve heard they’re training and it looks like they’re taking the boats backstage through the Central/South America section.

While it’s unclear if this was the official reason for the attraction’s temporary closure, Disneyland is actually receiving and training a significant number of new cast members. On a recent visit we saw several managers and trainers leading groups of performers in training. We could also identify multiple training sessions at checkouts and restaurants as well as in the parks for all sorts of roles, giving the impression that there was ongoing training sessions at it’s a small world at the time this group attempted to drive the attraction.

Disneyland Park is currently making significant improvements to several attractions, with Pirates of the Caribbean closed for renovations and Tarzan’s Treehouse awaiting a complete makeover. Toontown is also preparing for a massive change that will be revealed in 2023 with the country’s reopening and the debut of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. However, there is still so much for guests to enjoy! Now that the Main Street Electrical Parade and other nighttime extravaganzas have made their way back to the parks, guests have so much more to look forward to on their next visit. Going up to the Sleeping Beauty Castle is always a dream, especially when you can go inside and relive the story of Aurora and Maleficent. As you ride classics like It’s a Small World, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, The Haunted Mansion, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Splash Mountain and more, you’ll feel the magic and crave a churro! Plus, guests can now enjoy Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for some blue or green milk at Disneyland and ride Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run.

And of course you have to drive WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: MISSION BREAKOUT. Also swing on the Silly Symphony Swings and catch Jack-Jack on Incredicoaster! The list of rides and attractions never ends!
