WEST PARK, Florida. – A South Florida woman was nearly killed while selling two dogs.
She got into a shootout with three attempted dog robbers, and the entire ordeal was caught on camera.
The woman said she was afraid for her life and that of her friend and was forced to open fire after a group of young men shot her.
A bullet barely missed her head and she ducked behind her car for cover.
“We knocked on the door,” she said. “I noticed one of the people’s faces.”
The three young men, clearly visible in the ring video, went to the woman’s home in West Park at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
She breeds exotic dogs and thought they were there to inquire about them, but said that she noticed something seemed a little strange and asked, “What the hell is going on here? As soon as I turned around, he grabbed me and his boys went crazy. “
One of the men grabbed the woman and held her at gunpoint, and a fight ensued.
“As soon as I turned around, the other guy who was standing here to put his arm around me, put the gun to my head, I started screaming and trying to wriggle myself out,” she said.
The trio took off with two exotic microbullies. They are worth about $ 4,000 each.
The robbers didn’t go quietly either, shooting at the woman, who then went into her house to grab her gun.
“I would have done anything to protect my girlfriend and my home, and the biggest goal was to make sure she is okay and we live to see tomorrow,” she said.
Investigators from the Broward Sheriff’s Office said the woman was defending her home and that she would not be charged.
The MPs said there were a total of four men involved, someone was waiting in a getaway car.
You actively investigate and want help from the population.
Anyone who believes they recognize any of the men or have information about the crime is encouraged to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
