The autopsy results confirmed that the human remains found in a Wyoming park earlier this week are that of a missing travel influencer. Gabby Petito.
The FBI released a statement stating that the Teton County coroner classified Petito’s death as a homicide, but the cause of death has not been established until the autopsy is complete.
Investigators pledge to ensure that anyone involved in Petito’s death “is held accountable for their actions,” according to the FBI Denver special agent Michael Schneider said in a statement.
“Mr. Brian Laundry as a person of interest, â€said Schneider. “Anyone with information about Mr. Laundrie’s role in this matter or his current whereabouts should contact the FBI.”
On Monday, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent blue confirmed that authorities had discovered a body in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, where local law enforcement had been looking for Petito since she disappeared on Sept. 11.
Gabby Petito went missing late last month after spending several months on a cross-country road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.
Brian returned home without her on September 1, and her family reported her missing on September 11.
New police footage surfaced last week showing her desperation after an alleged argument with her partner in Utah.
The footage, captured by the Moab City Police Department on Aug. 12 and running for over an hour, shows officials talking to Petito and her 23-year-old fiancé after a potential domestic incident linked to them reported to the local Authorities was reported.
At the weekend it became known that Laundrie was also reported missing.
In a statement shared with reporters, per ABC7 New York, Laundrie’s attorney Steven Bertolino warned: “Be warned, Brian Laundrie’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
“The FBI is currently in the Laundrie residence, removing property to help find Brian. As of now, the FBI is looking for both Gabby and Brian, â€he said.
The police are still looking for laundry.
