This isn’t the first time dinosaurs have appeared in Idaho. Next month you can see realistic-looking dinosaurs in a Jurassic experience fun for the whole family.
Jurassic Quests is coming to Nampa, Idaho
The dinosaur portion of Jurassic Quest will be on display December 9-11 at the Ford Idaho Center. You can see life-size dinosaurs, there are dinosaur rides, and life-size fossils like T-Rex skulls and teeth. That’s just to name a few. If you have a child who really loves dinosaurs, this is an opportunity for them to learn more about them and see how big some of the dinosaurs were back then.
Ticket and tour information
It’s a timed tour so you’ll need to purchase a time slot to go in and check everything. Popular timeslots almost certainly sell out quickly. So if you want to go at a time that’s convenient for you, you might want to get tickets right away. Ticket prices vary. Those between the ages of 2 and 64 pay $22 each. Children under 2 years are free. Seniors 65 and older pay $19 each. You can also buy an unlimited pass for kids that lets them do rides, fossil digs, and more for $36 each.
Other things that happen during Jurassic Quest
Not only will you see and explore the dinosaurs, but there are other activities such as fossil digging, rides and inflatable attractions. You will have a chance to meet and say hello to some baby dinosaurs. There are bouncy castles and bungee pulls. There is an interactive challenge that requires you to solve clues to get rewards. There are also handicraft and painting stations. It really is a fully interactive experience.
Types of dinos you will see
Triceratops and T-Rex are some of the ones I recognize by name. A Megalodon will make an appearance, as will an Apatosaurus, Spinosaurus, and even Raptors. There are many other dinosaurs that are both baby and massive. You can even train some raptors.
other things to know
Strollers and cameras are welcome and even encouraged. There will be many places to take cool photos. Children are required to wear socks for many attractions such as the bouncy castles. The quest lasts 1 to 2 hours and you proceed at your own pace.
