OPENING DAY/STEM DAY: SciMathMN brings together show-goers to explore the world of STEM through hands-on activities, performances, and exhibitors. Adult discount, $15; Seniors and children, $12. Merchandise and food deals for all fairgoers and all-day specials on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides and games.

FINE ARTS CENTER: Award-winning works of art are exhibited. Artists presented daily give an insight into how art is created. “Be a Fine Arts Detective” sends viewers on a spy hunt to earn a loop. 9am-9pm

FRASER SENSORY BUILDING: A soothing place for guests with sensory processing issues, with activities and educational and employment resources. Wright Av. between Underwood and Cooper Sts. 9am-9pm

GIANT SING ALONG: 9:00-20:00 North of Lee Av. between Underwood and Cooper.

HORSE STALL: EquiMania: An award-winning equine education show featuring horse-themed exhibits. 9am-5pm August 25, September 27 and 5; 9am-4pm Aug 26; 9am-5.30pm Aug 28; 9am-1pm Aug 29; 9am-9pm Aug 31; 9am-7pm 1st-4th September.

LITTLE FARMER HANDS: An educational exhibition where children experience the farming process. 8am-7pm

HISTORICAL WALKING TOUR: A 2-mile, 12-stop, self-guided tour of historical locations on the fairgrounds. Brochures are available at any tour stop, JV Bailey House or the History & Heritage Center. Visit at least eight stops to get a prize.

MINNESOTA NEWSPAPER MUSEUM: The museum is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a living history exhibit. 09:00-20:00 East side of Cosgrove next to the 4-H building.

NORTH END EVENT CENTER: Survival: The Exhibition: An immersive wilderness exhibition. 9am-9pm North of Murphy Av.

NORTHWOODS: All-Star Stunt Dogs Splash: 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; Timberworks Lumberjack Show: 12pm, 3pm, 5:30pm and 7pm

OLD IRON SHOW: Learn about the history of machinery and agriculture through exhibitions and demonstrations. Lee Av. between Underwood and Cooper Sts. 8am-7pm

STATE FAIR PARADE: Operates a 14-block route beginning near the Haunted House, going north on Cosgrove Street, west on Randall Avenue, and south on Underwood Street. 14 o’clock

THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA EXPLORATION DRIVEN: Participate in a study of various university departments. 9am-9pm
