1. Pearl core

You can find beads on everything from necklaces to headbands.

Pearls are all the rage this year, according to Pinterest’s report. Known as “Pearlcore” among the fashion world, the trend finds the glowing orbs on almost anything and everything. You can keep it simple and understated with a chic single strand pearl necklace from Baublebar or, if you really want to go all out, wear the chunky Lele Sadoughi pearl headband, popular with celebs and influencers.

2. Luxurious laundry rooms

Elevated laundry rooms are a must in the new year.

“I just want to hang out in the laundry room,” no one said — that’s by 2022. According to Pinterest, searches for luxury laundry rooms have increased 11-fold as people remodel their wash and dry stations. While you could upgrade your washer or dryer, you can also opt for less accented ones, such as: B. with a pretty closet basket or a stylish laundry organization system.

3. Nightgowns

Skims and Lilysilk sleep dresses are perfect for drifting off to dreamland in style.

See you later, shabby old college t-shirt that served as pajamas for a decade. The biggest trend in sleepwear this year is nightgowns, especially those made from luxurious silk and satin. You can snag a floor-length dress – complete with a sexy slit – from Kim Kardashian’s Skims line, or opt for a breezy, mini-length nightgown from Lilysilk, popular with celebs Meghan Trainor and Gwyneth Paltrow.

4. Curved sofas

Curved sofas like this one from Overstock are all the rage.

Pinterest says the home decor world will be all about curves in the coming months. One of the main places where we bring more roundness is in our sofas. You’ll find trendy curved sofas in all shapes and sizes from a range of retailers, including Wayfair and Overstock – from extra large sofas to small, space-saving loveseats.

5. Biophilic Offices

Go green with biophilic home design.

If you’ve never heard the word “biophile,” it’s the concept of bringing nature indoors. Pinterest has determined that in 2022 it will be a focus of many people’s interior design, especially in the home office. “Millennials are turning to plant-centric design solutions here

year to strengthen their connection to nature and increase their well-being,” says Pinterest. You can participate by grabbing a live plant from The Sill (one of our favorite plant delivery services) or an artificial alternative from Target.

6. Tiny library rooms

Bibliophiles can get behind the 2022 library trend.

Bring your book club home with one of Pinterest’s biggest searches right now: tiny library rooms. It conjures up images of floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves filled with rows and rows of colorful books and cozy oversized armchairs perfect for snuggling in for a read. Create such a space wherever you live with a large bookshelf — like this ladder one from Wayfair — and a tufted accent chair.

7. Furniture dog beds

Even Fido will love one of these furniture dog beds from Etsy.

If you want your dog’s bed to look less like a dog bed, you’re in luck. This year, Pinterest says people only care about dog beds made from furniture that blends perfectly with your Home Goods-worthy decor. You can buy many handcrafted options on Etsy, like the rustic walnut dog crate or the dog bed that looks like a miniature version of your leather sofa.

8. Trendy watches

You can buy actual watches from Mvmt or Amazon.

Searches for “trendy watches” have increased six-fold in the past few months, proving that while we all care about Apple watches and fitness trackers, we’re also going back to old-fashioned timepieces. One of the most popular watch brands right now is Mvmt, which offers both men’s and women’s watches in a variety of sleek, minimalist styles. If you don’t want to give up your Apple Watch, you can snag a fancy tortoiseshell strap that makes it look like a regular Amazon watch.

9. Tea party aesthetic

The tea party look is having a moment this year.

Happy hour? More like tea time. Pinterest found that more and more people are searching for “afternoon tea meal ideas” and “tea party aesthetics,” both of which feel like an evolution of last year’s cottagecore craze. Whether you’re actually gathering your friends for an afternoon cup of tea or just want to unleash your inner Brit, an elegant cake stand and a bouquet of beautiful blooms – we love The Bouqs Co.’s flower subscription service – will do the trick.

10. Period maintenance

Ruby Love and Thinx are both big names in the menstrual health movement.

It’s the year when you should be more concerned about your monthly cycle. Menstrual care is a big hit in Pinterest searches as people search for period starter kits (which you can buy at Ruby Love) and menstrual cycle charts. One way to show yourself some love at this time of the month is to invest in trendy period underwear. Our experts have tested some of the most popular brands and found Thinx to be the best when it comes to comfort and leak protection
