The SD Humane Society is waiving dog adoption fees this weekend

SAN DIEGO (CNS) — The San Diego Humane Society announced Thursday that it is waiving adoption fees for all adult dogs over the weekend.

According to Humane Society officials, a large number of dogs are available for adoption at the organization’s locations in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside and San Diego.

“We have so many great dogs waiting to give unconditional love to a new family,” said Jessica Des Lauriers, COO of the San Diego Humane Society. “That’s why we’re waiving adoption fees this Friday through Sunday in the hope that people will open their hearts and homes so we can make room for more animals that need our help now.” According to the San Diego Humane Society, adoption benefits include:

— Procurement of a behaviorally and medically examined animal;

— a Humane Society adoption guarantee, training advice, pet supplies and educational information to support pet families throughout the animal’s lifespan;

— a hotline with experts to ask questions about behavioral or training issues; and

— Creating space in the shelter for other animals in need.

The San Diego Humane Society is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at its Escondido, El Cajon, Oceanside and San Diego locations for walk-in adoptions.
