These cuties need a fur-ever home

Many four-legged “children” call the Northeast Missouri Humane Society home, but they’d love to see a change of address – and you could be just the right person.

NEMOHS recently moved into its new facility at 7135 Veteranenstrasse in Hannibal. Their vastly expanded facility allows anyone looking to expand their family the time and space they need to see if this dog or cat is right for you and your “two legged” family.

On its website, the Northeast Missouri Humane Society explains, “Our mission is to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty and overpopulation of pets, to provide a network service to the lost or homeless, and to educate the public about important issues.”

Almost 300 dogs and cats were adopted by the NEMOHS in 2020, 200 of them so far in 2021.

Adopting a pet isn’t free, but if you find “the one,” the Humane Society folks will make sure your new family member is neutered or neutered and up to date with their vaccinations.

If you have a pet that you need to surrender for any reason, the Humane Society accepts those pets for a fee.

You can find more information about the work of NEMOHS on their website or Facebook page.

Keep scrolling to get a head start on finding your next “furry child”.
