Two new companies offering supplies and care for your dogs

ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) – Escanaba has a new pet supply store and coming next week a new business with services like grooming and child care.

“We have daycare, grooming, extended care and we will offer training courses, we will have training courses that will include basic pet handling and then a bit of agility later on,†Rebekah said. Anger, owner of K9 Cosmetology.

Pétique and K9 Cosmetology are two separate companies under one roof, making them a one stop shop for you and your pet. Both business owners are veteran women.

“[Petique’s owner] synergized with us and it’s really possible that if we recommend something for dog grooming or maybe a dog has allergies, something like that but it’s pretty easy for you to come here just take some of these grooming tools, â€Anger said.

Pétique is already open to the public and K9 Cosmetology hopes to have its grand opening next Monday.

“Go ahead and take a pre-registration. He’ll tell you all about what’s going on here as well as what vaccines your pet will need, â€said Anger.

K9 Cosmetology offers dog day care with a cap of 28 dogs per day.

“We have 8 pens here and in each pen we are only going to allow 3-4 dogs and it depends on how they get along,†Anger said.

The night is also offered with a maximum of 5 dogs per night and your dog will not be kept in a kennel.

“It will be a bit more upscale, but we’ll still have someone spending the night with the pets.”

Pet grooming and bathing is also offered, all by certified groomers.
