Ballet under the stars
Lexington’s popular summer tradition returns to Woodland Park August 5-8. The pre-show youth production “Sleeping Beauty’s Dream” starts at 8:00 pm. Elkhorn Creek Float Fest
The third annual Elkhorn Creek Float Fest takes place on August 7th, 11 am-5pm at Peninsula Park in Georgetown. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tubes and sunscreen to the event, which also includes music, food, prizes, and a chance to learn about local waterways. Kre8Marktmesse & Expo
Browse for goods from local artists and manufacturers during Kre8Now Makerspace’s Kre8Market Fair & Expo on August 7th from 12pm to 5pm. Shaker Village craft fair
The 24th Shaker Village Craft Fair returns to Harrodsburg on August 7th and 8th from 10am to 5pm and more. Kentucky reptile show
From 10 am to 4 pm on August 7th at the newly renovated Central Bank Center, the Kentucky Reptile Expo will showcase captive-bred reptiles and supplies from some of the best breeders in the country. Buy and learn about reptiles, amphibians, spiders, insects and more from the experts in their care. Tacos on two wheels in Gardenside
The Greater Gardenside Association is hosting a bike tour on Aug. 7 at 6 p.m., followed by a three-taco meal from local taco vendors.
