You’ve heard the saying before – “Adopt, don’t shop”.
It’s absolutely true. There are many dogs and cats out there in shelters that desperately need a home. There may be a perception that when the animals are there they are not well behaved, but that is not the case for many.
These dogs and cats just had a bad hand and ended up there through no fault of their own.
We have a rescue dog named Odessa that my fiancee and I adopted in 2018. She is the cutest dog you will ever meet and we still can’t believe she was ever in a shelter at such a young age.
Even animal shelters like the SPCA don’t just have dogs and cats. You have other animals to adopt. The Niagara SPCA is currently offering very unique animals for adoption.
According to their Facebook page, the Niagara SPCA stream has a couple of adorable piglets available for adoption.
These piglets will grow to 200 pounds as adults and will need a home or bran large enough to accommodate them.
You are so adorable.
Animal shelters sometimes have animals like chickens, rabbits, and other non-traditional animals available for adoption. It’s always fun to see different species of animals at SPCA sites as it shows us that so many animals still need loving homes.
